About Us
We are a club dedicated to promoting the Icelandic horse in B.C. through education and events.
The BCIHA hosts an Icelandic horse sports competition on a yearly basis in varied locations throughout
B.C. These shows offer participants and observers the opportunity to learn more about Icelandic horses
through riding clinics and feedback from judges. Competitions include fun events that encourage everyone
from beginning to advanced riders to get involved. Trail riding weekends and socials provide an opportunity
to ride and enjoy these horses while getting to know others who are involved with Icelandic horses. The BCIHA
Demo Team shows their horses in breed demos and equestrian events such as the I.P.E. in Armstrong and the
Mane Event in both Chiliwack, B.C., and Red Deer, A.B.
